If we had something to show at X06 I don't think we'd hold it back because of GoW. I don't see how it can hurt either franchise if they're both there. If they both have good showings then they both have good showings. If one's received better than the other it doesn't mean that the other's not worth buying. We'd like nothing more than to see Gears of War go on to succeed. If it sells consoles then it sets us up to sell more games than we might have if GoW hadn't kicked down the door in the first place. Also, another successful franchise on the Xbox would certainly take some of the pressure off of Bungie to be Microsoft's highest trump card. A King to go along with the Ace would be nice. ;) KP
