In Response To: Antimatter *NM* (Raging Aura) No... Antimatter is far, far too dangerous for use in small arms. Accidentally damage it and KABOOM you're dead, your friends are dead, your platoon is dead, the ship is gutted, and anyone not behind some sort of shielding gets a large dose of radiation. [Probably a fatal dose.] To give you an idea of what kind of power we're talking about, 1 gram of antimatter [An american dollar bill weighs about 1 gram.] would give out about 180 terajoules of energy. That's around 43 Kilotons, or twice the size of the Hiroshima explosion. You really, really, really don't want to have antimatter around in a small arms combat zone. Though in reality you won't get quite that much, as some of the energy comes out has harmless kinds of radiation. So a better estimate: http://www.projectrho.com/rocket/rocket3x.html#antimatter
