Well, we can assume that since they have the technology to clone organs and perform other various medical tasks, the average lifespan has increased exponentially in the year 2552. It's just like history. The further you go back in time, the shorter people lived, and the shorter people stayed in each stage of their life. For example, people married younger, had kids younger, stopped going to school younger, etc. But as the average lifespan increased, all of those tasks increased in length as well. So, we can imagine that in 500+ years, everything will have increased as well. Maybe the time it takes to get a Doctorate or Masters degree has increased, and Dr. Halsey has been in school for a long time. Purhaps all of her peers are just as old as she is. But maybe she can still look younger while being older. Who knows? :) | |
