... so don't try to keep pace with 'em, 'cause they can get falling-down drunk without the falling down part. All those tentacles make them aces at flicking the wrist and downing another pint in less time than it takes to tell... and watch out for their beer-sodden ideas sketched out on the tablecloth. It could make you rich; or it could make you show up on the front page of the police blotter in your underwear, holding some strange mechanical apparatus that was destined for the top of the Public Works building.
(And if you don't understand their in-jokes and drunken burbling don't feel bad.)
-- Steve's definitely not joining them at their keg party; he's not fond of ending up underneath a flying entity who can't hold his liquor.
