Not really directed at the Christian : religion. : Personally, I think the "gods" Gravemind is referring to (yes, : Gravemind is speaking through Cortana) are the forerunner. Not gods in : reality, but the Covenant see them as such so he refers to them as gods : for the sake of being understood. : "Demons" could be the MC. Again, not actually a demon, but he's : using covenant references, and they do call the MC "demon." so by going with that. cortana(or gravemind) has both gone against what the humans want her to do and what the forrunner want(ed) her to do. but what would not be in both human and forrunner's best interests?
