This is the way the world ends." Yeah, it says "gods," plural. Not really directed at the Christian religion. Personally, I think the "gods" Gravemind is referring to (yes, Gravemind is speaking through Cortana) are the forerunner. Not gods in reality, but the Covenant see them as such so he refers to them as gods for the sake of being understood. "Demons" could be the MC. Again, not actually a demon, but he's using covenant references, and they do call the MC "demon."
