The reviews aren't all that great, and most of the guys are unnecessarily sexist. Yes, I'm a dude. It even bugged me. But GI has great market share. Dunno if it's tops or anything, but it's doing well... mostly becase: [former employee rant] If anyone likes GI, go into Gamestop to renew, so you can get the discount card (free with a year of the mag). 10% off used games, 10% added to trade-ins. Gamestop also does used DVDs too, so you can get your fix there for cheap. You have no idea how many people would come in and tell us "no, I got a subscription myself" then buy used games. It's a sweet deal if you like the mag anyway. [/former employee rant] Considering the discount card, it doesn't really have to be a good mag- I'm going to constantly have it around. I bought my Xbox 360 almost entirely through trade-ins, plus some reserves, so the card earned at least $50 back for me last year. Sweetness. And I'd be saying that even if I hadn't worked there.
