I'm not a physics major, but I can tell that the ship wasn't spinning all that fast...it did 320 degrees of rotation in about 20 seconds...modern attack helicopters such as the Commanche can meet or even exceed this turn rate. Inside, if the soldiers weren't strapped in they would've been tossed around pretty good, but assuming they're wearing restraints they would only feel 2 G's max. The pilot would experience more, but one would expect her to be trained in high-G manuevering. Modern combat pilots, with all the training they get and their spiffy G-suits, can take about 9 G's for a few seconds before blacking out...one would assume G-suit technology to have advanced greatly by the time the events in Halo occur. Even so, the pilot probably wouldn't be experiencing any more than 10 G's, which for two seconds is perfectly feasible. And women tend to respond much better to excessive G forces than men...one of the reasons the Navy and the Air Force want women to be pilots.

A dropship that size in unlikely to have inertial dampers anyway, providing they've been invented in the Halo universe. You've probably read soem sci-fi novels where they talk about inertial dampers...in most semi-realistic science fiction, dampers are used aboard large starships, thus providing a way for these ships to accelerate quickly without killing everyone onboard. And in much of the sci-fi out there, most starships are accelerating at somewhere around 100 G's. THAT is when you'd need an inertial damper. Not in a tiny little dropship.

And that dropship didn't seem to be handling too well, either...acceleration is terrible.
