Though maybe Earth doesn't have the minnerals/substances : needed to produce the advanced machinery of the Forerunners. that was exactly what i was going to say. they didn't have the means or materials to recreate there technology. how ever Atlantis may not have been the Arks final restly place. thats right i have another possiblity. the ark could be hidden deep in the galaxy, but the only way to find its location is on earth. and how? remember truths ship and how it looks like a pyrimaid. truth brings his ship to egypt. hooks up with the prrimiads, and it sends out a beacon (ever wonder why they line up perferctly with the stars, or out of all other cilivilations, eygpt flourished the fastest. it also had records of the city of atlantis) the beacon would be pointing to the direct loction of the Ark. so while atlantis is the store room. egypt could be the map room. either one works with me.
