In Response To: Re: a weird stance on the violence in halo 2 (MCkeag) : Man i headin into the ARMY as soon as im out of highschool. Airforce is crap,
I'm possibly joining either the army or the navy next year, but to say that the airforce and the navy are both made up of a bunch of "lazy bastards" is asinine. They all fight for our country, so they all deserve the same ammount of respect. Ever heard of navy seals? But out of my respect for this forum, I won't go into politics. :) Anyways, I think this article is partially true. I notice myself getting immersed in the game when I play it; but it definitly isn't the same as real combat. Even paintball, which is basically a real-world simulation of war is drastically different the a video game. I think the only thing that the games will do to us is make us more comfortable around firearms, but it won't help in real combat (at least from my perspective). |
