In Response To: Re: So....I decided to give it ANOTHER shot... (SynikaL) Namely, the enemy AI is much more aggressive this time around--you never got flanked in the first Halo game. Most game players (like me) tend to think in a linear fashion...1st, do this, 2nd, do this, 3rd, etc. and so forth through the game. We tend to think we MUST clear all the enemies before we proceed, and attempt to do it quickly--thus, falling into the idea that there's only one direction we can proceed through a given area. Players like us take a VERY long time to realize how to get around sticky spots; therefore, we tend to get stuck at things like the second Pelican bay aboard Cairo station. Some of us just don't think quickly or react quickly and as a result hit brick walls from time to time and get frustrated with lack of progress. That speed run through Cairo mentioned on the front page? Myself, I NEVER realized there WAS a balcony over the door at the first fight! This was one of several moments described through the section which made me realize just how mentally slowpoke I am. That, sir, is why Legendary is so thorny for some of us players. Be glad you've got the skills--some of us out here will never approach your level of expertise, and can only stand back and envy you! | |
