I know how you feel dude, I couldn't have gotten through Halo on Legendary without playing co-op. That was two years ago. I still have trouble. It sucks hitting a brick wall like that. I'm not exactly the most innovative player out there either so I usually get killed a good dozen times before I star to catch on.
I feel yer pain (clinton voice).
But to be honest, play it on a lower difficulty, have fun, and pray for a friend who will come along and play co-op with you. It really is a LOT more fun with co-op. Halo, for me, is just all around better when I have allies, whether that be a fellow MC or some goofy marines running around. So play it on Heroic or Normal until you can find a buddy.
If you lived in Nashville I'd gladly play with ya.
Or put an ad in the paper.
