It's my understanding from reading the Gearbox faq. page, that the system requirements for playing the game, will be the same for creating content for it. I know that some of the tools used have some steep requirements being 2D and 3D programs and the like...

But the 2 biggest things that will help and existing system are more RAM and a great Video Card.
