I believe it's 51 gigatons at .04c and 5 terratons at .4c (rough estimations). Also, the 30,000 meters per second stat in TFoR is fairly unreliable (IMO) for hard calcs due to the fact that it was 27 years before (2525) the fall of Reach (2552). Considering the technological growth of the UNSC, I would seriously believe they would be able to accelerate their main gun to a more substantial velocity in 27 years. Accelerating a projectile to .4c is not impossible (in the realm of sci-fi at least) the Millenium Falcon does it all the time and doesn't shake apart. |
