Considered without any of the gyroscope-like effects due to its structure, the Halo's orbit will be dynamically stable. The Lagrangian points (specifically, the Trojan points) were first discovered because anything that starts there *stays* there, unless it gets hit by some other object and knocked out of orbit. L1 [where the Halo is] isn't as stable as the Trojan points, but it's still pretty stable.

It would be interesting to add in the contributions caused by the Halo's angular momentum. But the mathematics are well beyond me with this much sleep, so I think I'll pass. :)

I think we already know this, based on the fact that there appears to be Earth-like gravity inside the Halo - this gives us a rotational period on the order of an hour and a half, from memory.
