I thought this was interesting. . .

HBO: Did Bungie say how the story would be handled in-game (that is, how it would be presented to players)?

MS: Yep, it will be all in engine. And the engine (as you know) looks plenty good to handle any movies.

This would clear up the FMV VS in engine renderings of any scripted events that might occur. Although I am still hoping for interactive ones myself. . .
