It was kind of sad at the end, but it did fit into the overall theme of the book. Whatever you do, the Culture will prevail. I also like the style he writes in, though I think it takes a few books... :(

I enjoyed the Ender series, though I liked the Speakers books more, probably because they deal with Ender after killing off a whole species (well not a whole...)

I know that problem, but I have a much worse: When I start reading a goodbook I cannot stop, I usually end up with finishing it in 8-10 hours. :(
