The Halo page you see now is very different from what it was just after Halo was announced. The main page had a picture of an alien. Also on the page was one of many little messages, which I assumed were selected randomly each time you loaded the page. For example,

(process owner GA - AI - Class II)

Through war we will teach your heresy.
Through battle we will teach your frailty.
Through death we will teach your fate.

This is one of them. CH has done a good job of guessing at what these messages may mean, but he didn't make up the messages themselves.
