I mean come on seriously.
If you look at the technology used in marathon to the technology used in halo, any idiot can see that they're completly different.
1) FTL drive, doesn't exist at this time in the marathon universe but it does in the halo one.
2) Teleportaion. I have seen no Halo BOBs teleport, there are dropships, but no teleporters. Different universe
3) Weapons. There are no human plasma weapons in Halo. You would assume if we had plasma weapons and guns you would see a whole lot of plasma/fusion stuff flying around. Also there are jeeps and such in Halo. None in marathon.
