In Response To: Re: Cubans (Alfred Mordeir) The discrepancies regarding the alleged cubans are a reflection of last minute changes made to the game in order to have it ready for MacWorld. Jason Jones put on one of the dead scripts: I'm coding this script in the afternoon of July 22nd, do you think we'll make MacWorld on August 3rd? There are several unused dialogs that also reveal this. These dialogs have been noticed and discussed before, but just for the record i'll include them: STR# Resource This first and last strings imply that the puzzles the player faced before reaching the dreaming god required features that couldn't get finished before the expo. So the plot was patched in a hurry with these generic hispanic explorers and the ornate glass vial. I don't blame them for doing this. After all, it ain't easy to live on a budget ;-) The game is still one of the best. |
