In Response To: Re: Cubans (Hamish Sinclair) For example when we walk over a Buddha-like guy we learn that it is a Sentinel. However when we walk over a dead Cuban we are not told that it is a Cuban even though that was Bungie's intention. Why the inconsistency? Is it possible that the monsters are being mentally named by the player character as he encounters them? Eddings could easily come up with the terms "zombie" or "nightmare" to differentiate between creatures, but he wouldn't be able to describe a "Cuban" without specific knowledge. |
