In Response To: Re: Pi (dr. tsutomu)

: well, why not? the problem in akira is that the expansion has not been fully
: understood (neither in the manga nor in the anime), they just know it does
: expand, but they (i.e. the host, the scientists and the colonel) do not
: know how to control it. plus, it is provoked from the exterior and is more
: or less forced upon the hosts (tetsuo's powers for example are awakened by
: the collision with the other guy, number 26?), whereas computers - as far
: as I can tell - can choose to get rampant or not. ok, i admit that my
: theory has no proof whatsoever, so don't go blabbing it to everyone you
: know, right?

if the computers could controle ther rampancy the holy-grail of cypertechnology wouldent be very speacial.

on another note wouldent a rampant computer eventualy die under its on weight? eventualy it would get so huge the lag from information going from 1 end of the system to the other would be prohibitive. then again i would need to know how fast is faster then light transmissions.
