another tread i wroth spoke of the movie Pi... and it got me thinking.

Ofen in the story pages, theories about the marine keeping Durandal primary circuit in his soggy skull, now the hero in Pi also has somthing weird in his skull (big weird vein), hes prone to getting halutinations about subways(hmmmm didnt see any broadswords) and it gives him an incredible calculating power (kind you get from a planetary size network). now on the other end of the spectrum hes epileptic halucinating raving mad fool that chomps bottle's full of mind numbing drugs (gotta love the pill taking animation (1,2,4,9,16,25:)), gets attacked by stockbrokers and numerololigist jews that wrap themselves in data tape, shoots himself with a vaccin gun(works by osmosis) and finaly drills himself in the head with a construction drill. The point im getting to is that wouldent the marine be prone to such actions to? If a rampant Ai always expands couldent it expand within the marines head. pushing off the marins vital functions to give room for it's vital functions? Unless Durandal realy is the holy-grail of cybertechnology.

P.S. Yes he does survive his home-made operation to become a normal and stable human being.
