I don't think so, although running it on my old desktop with Windows 7, it had a lot of lag and I had to fiddle with duel wielding controls to make them comfortable, something that wasn't needed on the Xbox. All you'd need for Halo 2 PC is Windows Vista and up. Don't know about 8+ because I haven't reinstalled it on my laptop yet.
