Good thing Aleph One has Cursor Key and rebinding support. Numpad movement is one step below WSAD because it's even harder to find the right keys in the heat of battle and hit / or Numpad 0 by mistake.
: It would be interesting to see what Bungie would have created during the
: Quake generation of FPS games, but they got side tracked with a real time
: strategy game and a cyber punk anime tomb raider, and I'm okay with that.

Much like how Nintendo are stuck in a rut only making Mario and Zelda etc. most of the time and how Core Design only made Tomb Raider because everything else they made was crap, much like Sega's only good games that I've actually played being most Sonic Games up to the two Sonic Adventure games, Shadow, and Sonic 2006 but no higher (except Generations for nostalgia value)and Nights into Dreams.
Shadow even ripped a lot from Halo like some Black arms resembling Elites and the Chaos Emeralds being like the Isfet Crystals from PID. not all of the Halo inspiration actually worked but one of the one's that did other than the Marathon esque shooter elements was the ridicules but useful Plasma Pistol that marked orbital laser shots like the target locator from Reach five years later. Most of it was probably to make it resemble the Japanese (read, "the good") version of Sonic X. But that's enough about my personal favourite Sonic game next to 06 and Adventure 2.
: It just stinks that Halo 3 wasn't ported to PCs, and from what I read on the

I used to love Microsoft somewhat because of the Xbox, Xbox 360, Windows computers, Blinx the time sweeper etc. but even I keep seeing a lot of evidence that they really are bad. Microsoft? more like Moneysoft.
The worst offenders are Windows 8 and Project Spark or should I say "Reject Fart". (It's so bad I can't even make a good insult pun) And to think that they used good ol' Conker as an advertising slave for it. Conker's Big Reunion isn't even that big. It's too short, unfunny and isn't consistent with Bad Fur Day.

That second one about Infinity makes sense. it's like Red Vs. Blue being an alternate version of Halo, fan machinima or not. I'd like it if Bungie and 343 made a Marathon and Halo crossover to prove they are separate. chances of it being good and working well however may not be strong what with Microsoft perving on them with a bag of popcorn in hand and telling them how to go about it, like that pedophile Hugh Hefner.

I think they call themselves that because the Elites and Prophets were at war over their religion about the Forerunners. they made peace and united with the elites being their protectors. How they also incorporate other races into their community/religion and use the same collective name is beyond me, much like why the Universal Union of Half Life 2 is called the Combine.
Good writeup VBB. Can't wait for the Halo 2 one although I'm not sure how you could do the others outside of 360 Emulation.
