How many entrances are there to The Labyrinth?

That's an easy one: Pfhor! I mean, four.

While the Labyrinth has plenty of mysteries, the entrances are about the least mysterious thing about it. Four ladders, one in each corner, are the only ways in or out. The walkthrough even lists them out, and shows you a nice map too. The biggest mystery, it seems, is finding the mystery: what can be special about these four entrances?
