I think it's possible to win the game in an hour, without ever picking up the Cedar Box.
Leap up to Ascension, back to main, straight down the west side to Happy Happy, Carnage Carnage, and breeze through Labyrinth over to Lasciate...., down into Watch Your Step, get the bomb, eat the Easter Egg, prime the bomb for five minutes on arrival and see if I can use up my remaining consumables before dying. It's probably not possible to pass the Phantasms, though. (If I got the Violet Crystal in the Labyrinth, though...)
"Current" progress is reflected here: I get hung up on things like not getting hit (no time to pick up potions and certainly no time to rest) and not missing (I also want that plus-six for accuracy)
The save reflects me, having gotten the Easter Egg, trying to steel myself for (yet another) attempt to run across HHCC, grab all the MP41 ammo I can, open the doors, take my Bubbling Red potion, get out without being hit or missing a shot, and run back to the save rune praying for no random spawns.
The step after that is to battle the RNG for a favorable path across the Labyrinth, as I'll have about ten to fifteen seconds of doubled effective speed remaining.
By all of which I mean, "have fun trying to time yourself by getting a straight hallway roll there!" It'd be more fun to play around on the long hallway on I'd Rather Be Surfing. ;) Someone get out the radar gun for those Skitter webs....
