Leela probably doesn't share the impulse, if she's : satisfied with her planetary network instead of scouting around in a ship. : For the purposes of their shared obsession, then, Leela is irrelevant : until they need her help. Bigger fish to fry! I guess we will never know if Leela also discovers the secret to escaping the closure after she became rampant. Unlike Tycho, she doesn't appear to have been rebuilt in Durandal's image so presumably doesn't carry the same megalomaniac traits. We know she survived the S'pht attacks on the Marathon from the last terminal on Try again. Her own rampancy appears to have been caused when she was reassembled and reactivated on the Vylae FTL network. Of course, we don't know when this was. From a personal perspective I've always thought it would be a good sequel concept for Durandal to want to destroy Leela at some future date. Just to be sure that he wouldn't have any competition.
