: knew that this was not the case. Was he duped by his captors during his
: stay on the Pfhor homeworld or did he know but didn't want Durandal to
: know of her loss. The latter is more probably. Never give your enemy

Yes, but once Durandal gets into the Pfhor network, the gig is up, and Durandal finds out that Leela really was on the Vylae homeworld, not the Pfhor one as he was led to believe.
: Of course the twist in the plot comes at the end in the Final Screen when we
: learn of Leela's true fate. It's a real kicker. Leela is no longer the
: damsel in distress. She's mad and she's bad, and kicking Vylae a$$. Three
: cheers for Leela. ;)
