My problem was that I went back and looked at the terminal and saw where the exit was supposed to be, but then when I got into the room and rushed over to the corner, the supposed door wouldn't open. So then I would usually panic and start rushing around the edges of the room hitting tab. I think I eventually found it on accident, because it hadn't occurred to me that the door was only accessible once the platform raised.
