After you reject Hathor's offer, that's when you can break the circuit, then return to the terminal to activate the exit transporter, which is where you entered the level.
Rejecting her offer is also when that mysterious grenade hop I mentioned previously will now get you somewhere. Remember, there is a ledge in the rocky tunnels at the far SE. After a grenade hop onto it, find the elevator and ride it down, or, to spend less time trapped in a small space, jump down beside it. From there, you find the newly opened door. Through it, you get into a room with a tall and wide and narrow rectangular column in the middle. On at least one of the narrow sides, hit action, and it will open to reveal breakable circuits. Unfortunately, I don't know what those do. To escape, swim up in one of the alcoves and find yourself in the square room. Maybe that's all the circuit does, open up the floor in the square room. Well, actually, you'll be just off some stairs leading down to the square room.
