Yes, that should help a lot. I also got frustrated and dropped the level from major damage to normal, and it was much better, and rather fun.

You could put it in that little area by Hathors terminal (fail exit) That should make lost and confusion better.

No, but it can be hard to recharge shields, but you have an area or two that you can always runs to, so it's probably ok.

I've tried to use it a few times. and it just wasn't effective against that number of monsters. It's great against juggernaughts though.

So far I've only done the fail end to the level, so I havent seen the surprise yet.
