You know, I was just gonna let it go - but damn, something about your blindness just rubs me the wrong way.

Let me break it down for you:

I think the notion that j2000 is trying to convey is that old-school netmaps for Marathon suck.

Which I'm inclined to agree with, really.

First off, that's a FAR more sweeping generalization than j2000 made; though I didn't like HIS lumping of a few thousand maps into the same bucket, I like yours even less. You're not saying "I like new maps better than older maps", you're not saying "I haven't found any older maps I enjoy" - you're saying that every single map made while you were still in preschool is just bad. Now, I KNOW you haven't PLAYED all those maps - so the fact that you think you can JUDGE them all tells me that you think so much of your analytic abilities that you can extrapolate to a whole class from whatever subset you HAVE played. That's arrogance.

I don't have a problem with people saying negative things - I have a problem with people talking out of their asses. And if you're going to try and tell me that any fool would know that you were just using hyperbole to make a point - I'm going to tell you to go back and take 7th grade English again. (Shouldn't be too hard - couldn't have been more than a couple of years ago for you, could it?)

Bah. Whatever. Your attitude (not just from you, but from those who communicate as you do) is what made me leave here in the first place a couple of years ago. I don't need the blood pressure increases, and I don't even play this game any more - don't mind me, it's your playground again. Be whatever kind of asshole you want to be; I'm gone.
