1: How many ways are there to interpret "the only maps that would fit that criteria are a couple in the Corolis Loop mappack"? That sounds like a dismissal of "every old map ever" to me. Also, I see nothing in his post expressed as opinion; he mostly stated things as facts and cited the judgment of "the community" to prove them.
2: I believe the point was that you should generalize less, or at least mark your generalizations as such. It's not a travesty, it just makes you look stupid.
3: You have to say what you mean in order for people to know what you mean. The board allows you considerable time to think before you post, so you have no excuse not to.
