Though it'd be nice to ask the writers and make sure; also try to get independent answers from each one. (One answer might be that it's meant to be ambiguous, since the cyborg himself wouldn't have any way of knowing for sure.)

Is this plausible? It seemed obvious once it occurred to me, but I don't remember anyone else speculating that Durandal might be a former human.
