In Response To: I would like some more help... (MrHen)

: But it would be good to have some final feedback on a few things. I suppose
: that opportunity is lost. Pity. Hopefully something will eventually
: resurface.

It's not like the writers are dead. It would just be a matter of someone making it their mission to find one of them, and committing some time and effort to the task. Bungie.net accepts reader questions for their Weekly Updates once in a while - has anyone tried asking them? (With the list of Marathon/Duality story/continuation questions gathered beforehand, of course.)

Also, Greg wrote to The Escapist recently, so they might have his address. And Jason and Rob are still at Bungie. I wonder if Jason still remembers what he was talking about when he said this* in 1997.

Obviously, you'd also need to convince people that you respect Greg's decision to get out of games, and won't go all harassment and death threats on him if he declines to respond.

* Something that just occurred to me: I'd always assumed that the pyramid (particularly all the potions we drank) made Eddings immortal, and that's how he came to be still alive for the Icarus-Thermopylae war. But maybe the Yellow Crystal was involved somehow?

The implications of disembodied souls existing in the Maraverse seem vastly unexplored**. Does everyone in the Maraverse experience the same fate as the PID characters when they die? That would be pretty awkward to learn, and easily confirmed by the holder of the Crystal.

** Maybe Eternal says some stuff about it; I'm not sure.
