UNESCO, World Heritage, and the Marathon symbol

I was in Skandinavia earlier this summer and I happened to see this symbol a number of times, once as a watermark on a framed cirtificate at Kronborg Castle in Helsingborg Denmark (That's the Castle that Hamlet allegedly took place in) and I also saw in Karls Kroner Sweden lanscaped into a flower garden. It's some international organization associated with the United Nation Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, that is concerned with preserving world historical sites. Anyway I did take pictures of these, thou I haven't been able to get them online yet. But anyway I was able to get the the logo off there website, although I can't read the fine print surrounding it.
