: Having made dozens of transatlantic trips and a few transpacific ones, I can
: tell you that jetlag only gets worse with age. It generally takes the body
: one day to adapt to each hour of time shift, so you basically need about a
: week to recover from jetlag when you go to Europe from the US. Doesn't
: make much sense to do it for a one-week trip, now, does it? My wife used
: to routinely take 3 month leaves of absense and travel through Europe all
: summer, staying at youth hostles and living on practically nothing. This
: is before we met - during those years I was still working on a few
: university degrees - how I envy her. Bottom line - most people wait until
: they're old - really old - to travel and experience the world. Don't wait
: - it will never be easier than it is right now.
the people that travel or slack, envy the ones that get education instead and the people that educate themselves envy the people that were free and traveled or had fun. the grass is always greener on the other side.
a guy online once told me one thing and it has been like a rule to me ever since. Don't try to wish for things that you would like, rather try to like the things you already got. (loosely translated from icelandic... i hope it still has the same meaning tho, hehe)
