Fun, yes, but I can't think of any parts of the Marathon trilogy that I would call tedious - not like the endless series of nearly identical rooms seen in Halo. Halo relies way too much on eye candy and action to make up for its overall lack of variety and story. For me, there 's no comparison. I still play Marathon, but I'm not sure I even want to go back and play Halo 1 again, even if it means never seeing the Legendary ending. Of course I haven't played Halo 2 yet, so perhaps my thoughts will change once it comes out for the Mac.
