What I'm hearing you say in this post is that Halo is to Marathon what for example Ring is to the original Japanese Ringu. An Americanization of something great, where everything that actually made it great has been removed so that the simple minds of the brainwashed masses won't choke on it, for the sole purpose of raking in cash.

That's not exactly Bungie's thing.
