There is one aspect of Chris' work that is truly innovative - real consequences for one's actions. In M1, we would be chastized for failing in our mission, but it did not affect gameplay in the slightest. In Marathon Fell (Ben Potter), we are given choices to make that determine our path. In Rubicon, the actual success of the mission determines our path. Also, many maps including the original ones by Bungie stress the urgency of completing our mission quickly, but as far as I know, Hairy Legs is the only map where the map is actually timed. Complete the map in a timely manner and you go onto the Salinger Plank - fail and it's the Pfhor Plank. It's a simple idea, but superbly implemented.
