I highly recommend it -- it drastically reduces the gap between what you attempt to build in a level, and what it end up actually looking like. A word of warning, though. It takes a LOT more time than single-pass mapmaking, but it is worth it. Each subsequent pass, in my experience, averages at taking aroud half to two-thirds the time of the first pass, since you have a more solid feel for what you want to do. Still, the returns are definately woth the investment of time. [b] |
