	In Response To: Re: A proper venue? (Rick Blaine) : I would argue there hasn't been a truly original story since Gilgamesh. It's : the combination of elements that makes a story unique. I also understand : & respect your decision regarding which side of the fence to stand on. I would request that anyone seriously interested in the Halo storyline read several novels of Christopher Rowley. The critical ones: Starhammer The Vang: The Military Form The Vang: The Battlemaster If, after reading these three novels, you still believe that the Halo story has more to do with the overall Bungie Multiverse than other, outside sources... well, then we'll talk. :) (But you'll have a bunch of explaining to do before I'll listen too closely... :) ) I really, truly believe that a line should be drawn between the Marathon story (which, while also full of holes, had much more thought put into it) and the Halo story (which is far, far more derivative - no matter what that mnemesis guy says :) ).
