I just checked the sprites for M1 and M2/Inf. There is no sign of Pfhor having internal bones, with two exceptions: 1) the Enforcer in M2 (but not M1) whose "hard death" sprite has a white thing amid the ruins which could be interpreted as a spine, but could be an internal organ as well; 2) the Fighter in M2, during hard death seems to have teeth (or fangs) and some white dots that could be interpreted as a spine. (However, if both the Fighter and Enforcer are showing a spine, then it is of massively different size and shape for each of them.
Although I can't find a decent sequence of M1's Fighter dying, their hard death sprite does not show any bones or anything that could be mistaken for bones. Neither does M1's Enforcer.
