In Response To: Re: By Your Command (was: Try Again -- The Movie) (Godot) : Aha. That could be it. But I could swear it was with the original
I thought so too, but after playing through that section of the MI version, I now believe I was conflating my memories of the two versions of the map. : I wonder how Fm achieved that? Or is that normal for the M2/Infinity
Considering what a hash the monster behavior is on the MI version of Try Again compared to the original (any ported Marathon map with placed, non-teleporting monsters, given the lack of glue/super-glue polys, is going to play like a dog's breakfast), I am sure the super-floaty, come-on-in Jug behavior is stock M2/MI jug behavior. I would have to open up the map in Pfhorte to be sure, but I suspect the Marathon Jug behavior in the raised bridge area of the original map is the result of types of polys in the area compared to the ported version, and different physics for the Marathon Jug (probably a lower maximum hover height). Regarding checking the poly types in the original, I haven't opened up Pfhorte in a full, damn decade, and I kind of feel like keeping it that way, thank you very much. :)
