Interesting. Might the creche just be the ultimate iteration of the Pfhor's best AI, though? Although I suppose if it were intended as such there would have been terminal-based (?snap battles?) between the Creche and Durandal.

An AI or a Jjaro makes sense from the standpoint of an intelligence that is "vast," however.
