I think the actual calculations are the issue, and since we don't have the Marathon source code, we can only guess how it did them. I haven't looked into this, though. My gut feeling is we can do a whole lot better than M1A1, but we need (a) developers with time to do it (unfortunately, not me), and (b) an old school Marathon expert advisor.
