In Response To: On a similar theme of things Aleph One (Robtot)

: What's the go with distributing Aleph One and distribution? Say I had my
: complete scenario, and shapes/sound file by the book legalities aside. Are
: you actually a complete package with Aleph One included, or do you have to
: send the user off to get download it separately? This is assuming that all
: GNU license documentation is included and all that jazz.

You can include Aleph One binaries, so long as you make the source code available from the same place. This could be including it automatically with the download, or putting a link to the tarball (hosted from your web site) beside the link to the main download. Make sure to use the MacWinSrc source because the Mac/Win versions include several GPL and LGPL libraries.

Alternatively, "Unimap" scenarios are fairly popular now, and most users know how to install them:
http://source.bungie.org/wiki/index.php/Cross-platform_Scenario_Guide
(which needs to be updated, since MacBinary is no longer necessary now that Atque is available!)
