On a similar theme of things Aleph One

What's the go with distributing Aleph One and distribution? Say I had my complete scenario, and shapes/sound file by the book legalities aside. Are you actually a complete package with Aleph One included, or do you have to send the user off to get download it separately? This is assuming that all GNU license documentation is included and all that jazz.

I just remember reading that the trilogy release one click installers were taken down due to modified code violating the GNU, which seemed the opposite of what open source is all about, but I'm assuming it was no where as black and white as that right?
