In Response To: Re: AO SDL vs Rubicon X on a Mac Pro (treellama) : Yeah, that's high on my list of things to fix, but it will be much easier
That sounds good. Not that important gamewise, but it would make it a sturdier app. And it would prevent idiots from setting AO SDL to run on screen resolutions not supported by their monitors.. ;) : I guess what I can do in the mean time is write the error message to the log
Yeah. : How does Aleph One run on that beast? :) Well, the screen surface of my new 20" is a *lot* bigger than that of my old 15". Then add a very high framerate and now I keep getting the feeling that I'm about to fall through the screen and into the game... ;) Also, all the jerks and stops from loading huge graphics are gone. Oh, and I found a few more gripes over AO SDL ; 1) Where's map zoom in button? I can't find it. For that matter, how do I get the framerates? "?" doesn't seem to work with AO SDL. 2) Why are saved games hidden away in app support? 3) Can't start AO SDL by dragging a saved game onto it - thus bypassing the menus.
